Siva Mandir - San Gabriel Valley

We're starting-off as an "on-line Satsang" that will (hopefully) lead to an regular location for fellowship, spiritual learning/study, meditation, kirtan, and puja.

The idea behind this group is to practice our spirituality (and teach anyone interested) according to the basics of the Sanatana Dharma and to also respect and learn from the wisdom that traditional Indian culture his to offer.

Siva (Shiva) was chosen as the namesake and primary example of this meetup because he's the deity most closely associated with the non-dualistic balance between male and female as well as the deity that walks the fine line between the earthly and spiritual worlds that we humans struggle with every day. Shiva, as Mahayogi is an excellent example to move closer and closer to a purely spiritual life with each passing day yet not forget that we're still connected, and have responsibilities, to the earthly realm. However, all other Devas and Devis hold equal standing as examples and also have important lessons to teach as they are all just different forms of the same One.

This group is open to all, regarless of what "label" you use to indentify your spirituality.
